End July with a Bang in Irvine

You may think that now that the Fourth of July has been and gone, there won’t be much to do in Irvine for a while. However, this couldn’t be any less true, as there are a multitude of events to keep you and your family entertained in Irvine year-round. Whether you prefer fun in the sun or a nice quiet evening with your family, here are some events that can get you off the couch at the tail end of July.

Concerts on the Green – The Silverados

July 21st

If you like country music and spending time outdoors, you’re in luck. The Silverados, a country rock band with influences ranging from classic rock favorites to country stars, will be rocking the lawn between Grimm Hall and the CU Center in Irvine on the 21st.

2013 OC Fair

July 12th – August 11th

The annual Orange County Fair is an all-encompassing entertainment extravaganza that people come from miles around to partake in. The OC Fair has a variety of free entertainment including live music, shows and demonstrations. This event will also feature games, several food vendors, shopping and much more for your family to enjoy. Also, it will be going on from July 12th until August 11th, so if you find a break in your busy schedule, this event is definitely worth seeing.

Cooking Class: Grilling with Skewers

July 23rd

Have you always wanted to learn how to grill? Come on down to this cooking class at the Irvine Fine Arts Center for an educational and delicious night in which you will be instructed on the finer points of grilling chicken, fish and vegetables on skewers.

John Mayer Born & Raised Tour

July 27th

For fans of this popular pop-rock musician, come out to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on July 27th for some great music and a chance to unwind with friends and family.
